Yesterday, I met up with Tate for a portrait session at Yates’ Mill.
Tate is a new client for me, but not new TO me. Felicity and I met Tate a couple of years ago in a Kindermusik class.
Unfortunately (and we must change this), we have not gotten to hang out with Tate that much…although we do get to see him at the Library for storytime.
Either way, I was thrilled when his mom contacted me recently to schedule a portrait session just in time for the holidays.
We were hopeful that a few of the autumn leaves would hang around, but after Monday’s storm, many of the leaves decided to do what they do best…fall.
No big deal, Historic Yates Mill County Park is a beautiful backdrop that I was able to capture beautiful images of Tate…even if some of the leaves had fallen.
And after we were all done, I got the sweetest note from Tate’s mama…saying that our session was so much fun and didn’t feel like work at all!
Yay! I love hearing that my clients are having fun during our sessions. I remember being a kid and hating having my photo taken…so many kids just freeze up when they get in front of the camera, but if you can turn it into another day of play…I’m convinced that you’ll get beautiful and natural smiles.
And what mama doesn’t want that?! Thanks so much Tate and PK for working with me this week. I so enjoyed spending time with you and look forward to photographing you again soon!
