The weekend before last, I met up with the “Y” Family for some Christmas portraits. The girls kept me laughing the whole time, and while we were hoping for the perfect Christmas portrait, we decided it might be more fun if they used one of their outtakes instead. Here are some of my favorite photos from our session. We kicked it off with everyone smiling and looking at the camera. Amelia (the oldest) told her mother before the session that she would smile pretty for Miss Ashley. And she did…before cutting loose. Claire wasn’t quite as willing, but I still managed to capture a few sweet moments. Probably not exactly what their parents were hoping for, but I think it’s pretty funny. When we attempted to bring the family back together for another family shot, the girls had other plans. I think I told Amelia that if she was going to be mad about it, really go for it…and she did! They preferred to dance! Like I said, “at least they’re cute!” Better luck next year! Merry Christmas!
