Welcome back to Scavenger Hunt Sunday. Only a week and a half left until Christmas! Hard to believe that 2014 is almost over…which means I will be posting Memories, Dreams and Reflections on January 1. That also means that we’ll take a break from the Scavenger Hunt to spend time with family and friends until then (after this week of course). I’ll be sure to post the MDR list sometime this week, or you can look back at last year’s list. I hope you all have had a great time with SHS. Some weeks, it feels like an afterthought for me and I’ve often thought of giving it up completely, but my husband keeps telling me to keep doing it because it does inspire so many others. Okay, so we’ll continue and I hope to be more active in the next year. With all that said, I’m glad you’re here.

The rules are simple:
- Anyone can participate.
- You’re encouraged to take five new photos this week for the challenge. Creativity is also encouraged!
- If you get stumped, you may use one photo from your archive (although I’m not too strict about it – I do my best to take fresh shots).
- Link up here on Sunday (or Tuesday at the latest) – you can use the button above.
- Leave comments for at least five entries around yours (with so many new participants each week, it’s the only way I know to be inclusive
- Have fun!
Without further discussion…here are my interpretations this week:
1. Shiny
This is one of my favorite ornaments…but I don’t put it on the tree. It’s so shiny and fragile and I hope it survives Felicity’s toddler years.
2. Underneath
Amongst all the presents (or a few of the presents since Felicity can’t stand the thought of there being toys under a tree that aren’t hers), we’ve got a Little People Nativity Scene. Felicity loves playing with it all day long.
3. Decorations
One of my newest additions to my Christmas decor is this advent calendar in the form of little stockings. I got it a little late, but I think this is something we’re really going to enjoy for years to come.
4. Fresh
Last weekend, my inlaws came to visit. My mother-in-law brought fresh grapes with her and Felicity decided that she was finally ready to give grapes a try. Not only did she try them but she LOVED them. So, I made sure to buy some more this week. They’ve been a huge hit!
5. Colorful
I had to work this week (other than photography), so my mom came up to play with Felicity for a couple of days. On Tuesday, they made this awesome gingerbread house. By the looks of it, I think Felicity just ate icing while my mom decorated. I think it turned out great!
So, what were your interpretations of the items this week? Be sure to load your pictures on your blog (or your Flickr photostream) and link up at the bottom of this post. Feel free to grab a button to display on your blog along with your scavenger hunt items. The linky will be open until Tuesday night at midnight (EST). If you didn’t participate this week, be sure to check back in January for a fresh list. Until then, plan to join us for Memories, Dreams and Reflections which will kick off on January 1. I will be sure to post the prompt list later this week.
On another note, if you’d like to contribute items to the list, just send me an email with your suggestions (I can better keep track of them this way). Each week, I will select one reader’s prompt list and give the selected reader a shout out on my blog during Scavenger Hunt Sunday.
Happy Shooting!
