Saturday afternoon was simply beautiful. Okay, it was a little chilly…but it is November. It was one of those days that I was glad to have a client session – and especially at sunset. I was even more excited that that client session was with my dear friend, Pam and her family. Pam and I go way back…14 years. Gosh, we’re old. I met Pam during my first year of college. I was rooming with a girl who went to her high school (we grew up in the same general area). We knew many of the same people so it seemed only appropriate for us to be friends too. And...

On Sunday, I met up with the “B” family at Joyner Park in Wake Forest for family portraits. It was a beautiful afternoon and the park was full of other families and photographers. Clearly, brilliant minds think alike! A fun fact about this family is that I went to high school with both Travis and Stacey. Travis and I graduated in the same class; Stacey was a year behind us. As we were walking up to our first spot, Travis mentioned that we haven’t seen one another since high school. I replied that we’re definitely not young anymore…and he said...

Earlier this week, Felicity and I met up with Declan and his mom for a photo play date. Declan and Felicity are going to preschool next week (same school…different classrooms), and we wanted to capture this precious time in their lives. Oh, and Declan turned 2! Yeah…that’s probably more important! I’ve been photographing Declan for over a year now and he is one of my favorite clients…probably because I get to see him so much outside of our photo sessions. He is always willing to smile, so even though he runs away from me often, I don’t mind so...

Last weekend, I met up with the “R” family to take a few family photos at Joyner Park in Wake Forest. This is just a glimpse into what turned out to be a great session.
