This past Sunday, Felicity and I attended our first Princess Tea Party with Wishes and Wands at The Matthews House of Cary. It was everything we hoped it would be and more. Felicity got to meet all her favorite princesses…all awhile doing some neat activities with her best friend, Madeline! I tagged along with my camera and took a gazillion pictures. And, while I still have photos from The Polar Express that need to be processed, I just couldn’t help but edit this event so that Felicity could relive this fun day through photos. It’s very common for friends to lose touch after high school or college. However, one of the perks of being a photographer is that several of my friends now hire me to photograph their families. In the case of my friend Pam, I get to photograph her family twice a year – once in the spring since her youngest was born in the May…and once in the fall since her oldest was born in November. Last weekend, I was asked to photograph a gender reveal party. This was my first time attending a gender reveal party, so I was thrilled to be a part of it. What made this party even more special was that it was for my friend and dental hygienist, Kristie (and her husband, Todd). Kristie has been cleaning my teeth for the past five years.
