The Piano

September 18, 2010
Last night, I was featured in “I Heart Friday” at Simplicity (aka Faith’s blog) for my photo, “The Piano.” I received so many wonderful comments on Flickr, that I thought I would share the photo on my blog. I also thought I’d respond to a few requests I’ve been receiving to include my Exif data and lens along with my photos. Here is my SOOC shot: Lens: Tamron 28-75 mm, Focal Length: 75 mm, ISO: 100, Shutter Speed: 1/60, Aperture: f/4, Speedlite used at 1/4 power. For more SOOC shots, go visit The Slurping Life and Murrieta 365 at:  What is Exif...

For more SOOC shots, go visit The Slurping Life and Murrieta 365 at:   Also, if you’re interested in re-sizing and sharpening your photos for the web, check out my guest...

As always, I’m really excited to see everyone’s interpretations of the scavenger hunt items and I’m hoping we pick up a few new bloggers today and tomorrow (hint hint). The rules are simple: Anyone can participate (although it...

Shoot from the Hip

August 01, 2010
One of my blogger friends recently posted about “shooting from the hip.” I wrote the idea down and decided I would try it next time I was out and about. I’d like to give credit where credit is due, but I did not write down the name of that blogger (note to self, when writing down tips, write down the blogger of which I got the tip). ***EDIT: Cara from Mischief and Laughs was my dear blogger friend that gave me this wonderful tip. Here’s the link to that blog entry – go check her out!***So today, my husband and I went to Raleigh Wide Open. We walked the streets,...
